Rendezvous Dinner 2009

It doesn’t get any finer than driving Porsche’s and attending the Four Seasons Resort in Jackson where the Yellowstone Regions Porsche Club Annual Rendezvous Dinner took place.  With 61 members attending this year’s event, it was a full house and a party fit for a rock star.

Anne Fish executed this event beautifully.   The Four Seasons valet took special care of our cars and parked them in the covered garage.  The $10,000 ball room, which was so kindly comp’ed by the Four Seasons themselves, worked beautifully.   The reception area, with direct access to the Cottonwood terrace, was set up with a private bar for cocktails, socializing and a plethora of auction items provided by local businesses in the community.

The auction was a huge success for many of our members.   From a Lifetime Membership to the White Buffalo Club (congratulations Jim Moses), Golf at the Three Creeks Private Golf Course (congratulations Bill Murphy), a Chenille Custom Rug from the Kismet Rug Gallery (congratulations Bobbi Moses), tickets to the Grand Teton Music Festival (congratulations Dick and Val Beck), limited edition Porsche Street signs (congratulations Barbara Dolphin and Bob Graham), a cruise for four on SeAmore with Captain Nancy and shipwreck Dan (congratulations the Murphy’s), to dinners, massage and a number of other Porsche related items.  Thank you to all those members and businesses who provided the auction items and thank you to all those who purchased the items as well.

The Award for Member of the Year for 2008 went to Dan and Nancy Clancy.  This award is in recognition for their assistance, enthusiasm and undying love to support our local club in the events and activities that are put on throughout the year.

Special guest during the event was Dave Cooley, the zone rep from the Northwest region of the Porsche Club of America.  Dave gave us some inspiring words for events throughout the region.  He also informed us of the PCA’s latest policy on providing insurance (at a minimal cost) for members during Driver Education and other PCA sponsored events.  Thank you Dave for visiting us!

Dinner went off without a hitch as well.  The food flowed valiantly from Lemon Breasted chicken, to Cajun Fried Fish, and antipasto, to bell pepper apps, chocolate brandy tarts and cheesecake truffles.   And like the rock star in all of us, we ate, we partied and we conquered.
