The Fall Get-Together at the Q
Our final event of 2009 took place at the Q Roadhouse in Jackson on October 21st. Over 40 members attended and since there was no snow on the ground, some even drove their Porsches. Phil and Kathy showed up in their brand new Black Cayman. Yeow, what a beautiful car.
After some socialization and refreshments, everyone filled their plates for an enjoyable evening dinner. Scot reviewed some of the events planned for 2010 and it looks like we will be in for another exciting driving season. Members asked about participating in a Driving Event next summer at Miller Motorsports Park. Scot will follow up on coordinating a possible DE with our sister club in Salt Lake City. Next year’s fall tour will take us up and over the breathtaking Bear Tooth Pass. This road is considered to be one of the most scenic drives in all of North America. Traveling through Yellowstone, with stops in Cody, Red Lodge and the Lake Hotel, it promises to be a terrific three days of sightseeing. Tom Barker, Nancy Clancy and Scot Anderson will be working on the route, lodging and restaurants along the way.
The evening ended with pleasant good-byes, the promise of a good holiday season and an exciting 2010.
